Matthew Matt James, born December 5, 1991 in North Carolina. His parents are Manny James as well as Patty James. The mother of Manny James is caucasian while his father is Nigerian. Following his graduation at Sanderson High School, in 2010, James enrolled in Wake Forest University and obtained his Bachelor's in Economics. James first gained popularity after he became a Reality star on The Bachelorette. James was chosen in 2020 to be the next bachelor in The Bachelor season 25, becoming the show's first African American male star. The show premiered later in the year. James seemed to be the perfect match for the role as he has an appealing, well-rounded, and large-bodied personality. The series was over when he decided to choose Rachael Krkconnell as his choice to begin an intimate relationship with the actress. James was paired with dancer Arnold, who was famous during the time, to take part in the season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold placed 12th in the show.
